Very Reverend Shoby M. Chettiyath, JCL, V.G.
Pastor
About
Fr. Shoby, originally from Kerala, India, began his priestly formation in Bangalore after completing high school in a Catholic school. He earned a Bachelor's in Philosophy from Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (DVK) and a degree in Sociology, Philosophy, and Politics from Bangalore University. He later pursued a Degree in Theology at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
Ordained to the Diaconate in 2005 and to the Priesthood on May 9, 2006, Fr. Shoby served in various parishes across India and Brazil before moving to the Diocese of Springfield–Cape Girardeau. While serving as Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in West Plains, he earned his Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) from The Catholic University of America in 2021.
Appointed Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia in 2019, Fr. Shoby now serves as Pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield and St. Francis of Assisi in Nixa, faithfully guiding the people of God with dedication and compassion.
As our Pastor, Fr. Shoby serves as the spiritual leader of our parish community by administering the sacraments and making important decisions. He is also the Vicar General of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau and the Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Nixa.
Reverend Vineesh Jose Tharayil, OSB, PhD
Parochial Vicar
Fr. Vineesh assists the Pastor in providing spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the parish community at Holy Trinity, as well as at St. Francis of Assisi in Nixa.
Mrs. Monica Pickens
Office Manager
Monica supports the Pastor and the staff, overseeing daily office operations and administration to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow. She is also the main point of contact for phone calls to Holy Trinity, as well as managing the coordination of events for both the parish office and the wider parish community.
Ms. Julia Becker
Administrative Assistant
Julia supports the Office of the Pastor by providing clerical and database assistance, particularly related to the sacraments. As the Administrative Assistant, she helps maintain a welcoming, organized, and caring parish office environment, and is the main point of contact for visitors to Holy Trinity, ensuring that all interactions are handled pastorally, with warmth and excellent service.
Mrs. Lisa Hall
Finance Manager
As our Finance Manager, Lisa oversees all financial operations and ensures compliance with accounting standards, supporting the parish’s mission and stewardship of resources.
Ms. Emily Knoppe
Coordinator of Religious Education and OCIA
Emily oversees faith formation programs for children, youth, and adults. She plans, implements, and coordinates religious education classes, sacramental preparation, and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), supporting the spiritual growth and faith development of the parish community.
Mr. Travis Elston
Maintenance
Travis is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of all parish buildings and grounds. He ensures that parish facilities are safe, clean, and well cared for, supporting the mission and daily activities of the parish community.

Custodian
Ernie is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and caring for all parish buildings and facilities. He helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for worship, ministry, and parish activities.
